Our Story

Sol Mate The Label was founded in Adelaide, Australia by mum of two, Shani. Inspired by her own childhood summers by the beach, Sol Mate is an ode to carefree days filled with colour, sunshine and friendship.

Sol Mate was brought to life after the birth of her daughter. Sol Mate reflects Shani’s dream of showing her children what it means to follow your passions. Each piece is designed with playfulness, nostalgia and comfort in mind, made to be loved, worn and passed down.

Sol Mate creates small-batch collections using durable, high-quality fabrics and a mindful approach to sustainability wherever possible. 

SUSTAINABILITY
At Sol Mate, we believe that sustainability isn’t about being perfect, but about making conscious choices wherever we can. We create in small batches to avoid overproduction and ensure each piece has purpose. Our fabrics are chosen for their durability and quality so they can be worn, loved, and passed down, extending the life of every garment.

We work closely with trusted makers and take a mindful approach to the entire process — from design to packaging. By producing limited runs, using recyclable and compostable packaging where possible, and always striving to improve, our goal is to leave a lighter footprint while creating clothing that brings joy to children and their families
